“In 2022, I {Ravi Tiwari} finally go to Leh-Ladakh with Smrithi. I hope, wonder, then shake my head. It cannot be. The temple I have been dreaming about, surely it must be just a dream. For this is the land of Buddhism. But I go too fast. “What dream am I talking about?”You ask. “And what temple?”
“The first time I dreamt of the The Devi Temple in The Mountains was in 2008. "I am running on a road which is surrounded by brown hills. While running sometimes I become bigger than the hills and sometimes I am normal in size. I see few familiar faces on the road while running. I keep running and reach a small village. It’s very crowded. It looks like that there is some kind of village fair for a temple deity. I run towards a white building. It’s crowded {even by Indian Standards}. I go inside... climb floors thru narrow stairs.. still crowded. I stop at one of the floors (either first or second). I am still panting. Then I realize that I am searching for the temple deity (Devi). One voice says "Hey its right behind u". I feel vibrations in my body as I turn back. I am about to see the face of the Devi but vibrations are so strong that I cannot see her face, I come out of my dream.”
“But where was this temple? A few days after I had the dream, I was watching one of those travel shows. And I saw the exact same road surrounded by mountains. It was a part of the Leh Ladakh region.”
{Now Ravi had told us, Celia & Tarun about the dream several times in 2013-16-18, as he had the same dream in varying fashion several times. And the details were a road, mountain, stairs, monastery and temple. We had told him, if Ladhkh was calling to him, then he should go. Back To Ravi.}

“More than a decade later, in early 2022, Smriti and I {Ravi again} were on vacation in Leh. From the time I landed here, I was curious to find out if my dream indicated a real temple, a physical deity, in addition to being a splendorous spiritual encounter.
“In Leh-Ladakh, we were assigned with a tour guide and driver named Jimmy who accompanied us for the entire trip. Initially, I was a little hesitant to ask Jimmy about the Goddess Temple (if any) in the region. After all, this is Buddhist country. But my curiosity kept pushing me to ask.
“Me: Jimmy, by any chance, is there a Goddess temple in this region ?
Jimmy: Ohh yes, there is a Kali Mata temple in one of the monasteries.
Me: In a monastery?! Is it nearby ?
Jimmy: Yes, about 8kms.
“I was surprised and excited with his reply. I was thinking if I can convince him to skip one of the sights and take us to this monastery.
“Me: Is it closer to any of the sights we will be visiting today?
Jimmy: Yes, it's close to the Hall of Fame.
Me: Is it possible if you could take us to the monastery in place of any one of the sights, please ?
Jimmy: No problem sir. I can accommodate the monastery with the rest of the sights. I never visit any monastery except for this one that too only for Kali Mata. She protects me and my family all the time. I have a very strong belief in her.
Even as we reached the monastery, Spituk Gompa, one of the oldest in the region ,my body began to shiver. The road was exactly from my dream. The mountain shape, I had seen it 14 years ago, 14 years before my visit.
There is a 10 minutes climb on stairs to reach the top, where the Goddess temple is located. I was speechless on discovering that the surroundings were so similar to my dream, except for the lesser crowd. My dream had a great festival crowd.
As I entered the room where the Goddess was present, my feet began to feel vibrations, my throat became parched. The whole lighting is powerful, strange, dark, with a dim red light. Then incredibly, like in my dream, I was not able to see the face of the Goddess either. The faces of the idols were covered with cloth pieces. They are covered the whole year except for a festival where they reveal the face of the idols for one or two days. That final piece of knowledge swept through me like a tsunami. Every cell in me shouted in joy, yet deep within there was a calm.
Later, in the car, I told Jimmy about my dream. He was surprised, delighted and wondered if I was a monk in my previous birth.

Going Deeper into Dream, Reality & Divine Reality. Ravi’s experience reexamined by Tarun & Celia Cherian.
Here is an incredible gift given to Ravi, and each one of us. And as we hold it in the hands of our mind with reverence, let us now slowly take off the wrapper and rejoice in the great treasures within.
Dreams Are Windows to Reality: So what do we know? 13-14 years, well before Ravi travels to Leh-Ladakh a dream shows him a road, a mountain, steps, a temple, a statue-deity, it shows a hidden face, and cues about a festival crowd. When he actually visits Leh-Ladakh, he discovers that his dream has revealed a wealth of details, a dusty road, mountain, stairs, temple… amazingly, and this defies disbelief, he cannot see the statue’s face, but if he had chosen a particular festival day, he could have seen the deity’s face, and the temple would have been bursting at its seams, just as in his dream. His dreaming self was not just a precognitive one showing him what he would see 14 years later. But it showed him what could be seen, if he chose a particular day.
Now here is the next puzzle. If you are to look for Hindu temples in Ladakh, the Spituk Monastery, and its Kali temple does not feature on that list. 8 other temples appear on the search: Alchi Chos Khor Temple, Red Maitreya Temple, Vajra Bhairav Shrine, Sun Temple, Serzang Temple, Lamokhang Temple, Tara Temple, Matho Temple. So next, it was strange coincidence, that Ravi asked Jimmy, a driver who loved this particular deity, on that particular day, otherwise the driver could have taken him to any other of the other temples in Leh-Ladakh.
The biggest thing in this entire saga that hits us is the Reality of God, or rather The Goddess. God is Real.
Ravi 14 years ago, dreams of a temple and a deity that has an incredibly potent existence. And as we think about it we are lead to another question about the relationship of God and Statues and Temples.
The being we are talking to, who Ravi and many call Devi, who has a statue of Kali dedicated to her, obviously lives at a far deeper level of existence. And so here we delve deeper…
And so we ask her, The Devi: “Who are you?’
And she replies, “I am existence, I am that which births existence. I am before the spark you call The Creator. He is my child or rather, God — The Creator is a bauble on my hair.”
Now this is an answer of great magnitude. And we will take years to let the answer water the depths of our being. We then turn to the next question: It is clear The Temple itself has a great potency that it impresses itself on the very fabric of consciousness. And so here is a question about why we need statues and temples. And what statues and temples truly are?
Kali Ma speaks about ‘Why Temples? Why Statues?’
“To remind you that I exist, to remind you of what you are, for humans I have inspired specific forms that stimulate your aura totality. But” She adds, “Humans are not the first species on earth to have sensed my presence, or had the clarity to erect reminder-spaces or temples. ‘Crocodiles’ for example, whales, and elephants have even reshaped landscapes. What you consider aliens have crafted underground tunnel-temples. Do I reside there? No. But you can sense me clearer there.”
She elaborates: “There is a land mass, energy portal activity at Spituk. Around this has grown a shrine, a temple, a monastery. This space was the focus of a particular dynamic of worship-remembrance, by varied spiritual sects with related but differing belief structures in the closer past: 20,000 years ago, 15,000 years ago, 6000 years ago, 1000 years ago, 250 years ago, and 12 years ago.”
Temples are more than Historic Treasures…
And as we look at this answer, you realize it has huge ramifications. Especially in today’s world, where some spiritual streams believe a Temple is a hugely significant place to access greater realities, and some spiritualists believe it is just a pretty house, and some rationalists believe it is just a cultural artifact.
Where did Ravi meet her 14 years ago?
“In an astral space. This is the truer reality. Here my presence/idol is a purple swirl.” She answers.
Why did She Reach out to Ravi?
“Incidents when he was 26 showed him to be worthy.” “Enough!” she says “Knowing you are more is a privilege and responsibility, to shape the course of Life.”
Now there will be doubters who do not know Ravi, who may be tempted to dismiss all this, consider this, Ravi is one of the foremost in the field of what has loosely called AI; besides being a spiritualist, he is a clear thinker, and he has been talking to us about this dream for close to 10 years. He has brought it up many times, and related the details to us.
As we read, and reread this experience by Ravi, we realize we leave with a great wealth of knowledge. The simple truth is
- We are not limited by space, time or matter,
- We are multi-layered beings,
- The World Around us is The Skin of Reality.
- Things like Dreams can give us access to Greater Worlds.
- We are connected to Divine Beings,
- These divine beings take great interest in our spiritual growth.
- We can connect to The Divine through Temples & Statues.
We have said before: “Life is a Dream, God is Real”.
Today through Ravi the divine reveals just how true these words are.
